January

Last month was a tad uneventful. The highlight of the month was probably our field trip to the Fire Station. The kids loved it and the firemen were so-o nice. Other than that we've spent a lot of time at home taking turns being sick. We're hopeful that February will be much more exciting.

The Sweet Tooth Fairy

I just got a text from my cousin Megan, otherwise known as "The Sweet Tooth Fairy", letting me know that all inspections have passed and the Grand Opening for her new bakery in Provo will be at the end of the month. Her website has been super successful the past few years and I know the store will be too. She is unbelievable at what she does and she absolutely deserves this. I am so proud of her and wish her the best of luck. I only wish I could be there to celebrate with her. Congratulations Meggie!

Here she is holding the Double Fudge Cake Bites that were featured on the Rachael Ray show last week. The show contacted her, that's how good she is. Isn't she beautiful!

Happy Birthday Uncle Dave!

For his Uncle Dave's birthday today, Samuel decided to start walking. He took his first step and a half the day after Christmas in my parents kitchen, and has been taking a few steps here and there every day since. But today he started doing this...

At his 9-month check-up last week he came in at the 90th percentile for weight and height, which might sound big to you, but he used to be 97th for weight & 95th for height. So really he's thinning out:)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

"Game On"

Sine practically everyone I know has posted one of these on their blog, I figured I'd post this one that my niece made of her dad and Ben on Thanksgiving. We all cried we were laughing to hard. Sorry Gil, I know this is your favorite picture of Dave.

Meet the Newest Member of Our Family

So I went back and forth and then back again trying to make a decision on getting a dog. At one point, I had decided absolutely not. But for some reason, my mind just kept going back to getting one, and not just any one. This one. We've had our eye on this particular puppy from the first moment we saw her when she was just a couple days old. So I decided to surprise Ben and Katelyn with her for Christmas, but I couldn't wait that long. We brought her home Saturday night and the family fell in love. She has been great with the kids, especially Samuel. Besides the occasional barking and nipping that puppies do, she is proving to be a very well behaved dog and we couldn't be happier about that. A HUGE thank you to Danielle and Nathaniel for keeping her for so long and taking such great care of her.

Copper brand new

Almost 2 months old

Copper today(about 3 months old)

Yes, we changed her name from Penny to Copper last night. For those of you who know us well, that should come as no surprise. Our only problem is finding someone to take care of her while we're in Cali for Christmas. All the pet places I've called are completely booked for the holiday so if anyone knows of someone or some place, please let me know. We're getting a bit desperate.

Happy Birthday "B" Zach!

Yesterday we were honored to go with Dave and Gillian to Zachary's grave site for his 2nd Birthday. Gillian had the wonderful idea of releasing white balloons with a spiritual gift attached to it. It was amazing to see the huge turn out of people who love that little boy, and to hear of all those nationwide who joined in as well.

We cannot express how much we love and miss Zachary. We are so incredibly grateful to have known him and to have been there for every part of his sweet life. Katelyn amazes me everyday at how well she remembers her “B” Zach and how much she clearly loves him. Thank you Gillian for allowing me to watch him, feed him, and hold him as much as I did. He is always in our thoughts and we will never forget him.
