Just one of those days
They day started off with me getting about 4 hours of non-consecutive sleep because of Samuel's teething. Which meant I had no energy or desire to clean my disaster area of a house or go to the grocery store, which we desperately need. Then Katelyn had a little accident while playing at a friends house, so I had to take her for her 4th E.R. visit this year.(Takes after her daddy much?) In the car on the way there, my water bottle spilled out in my purse leaving everything submerged in water, which was downright annoying. After Katelyn got 4 stitches in her face, along with M&M's, cake, a doll, and a stuffed pony(all gifts from Ben's co-worker's) we went home. Just when we thought the day was over, I noticed she had one less stitch in her cheek than when we left the hospital. Ben and I were livid at the P.A. who put in her stitches and at the fact that we would have to go back to the hospital and put her through that again. Luckily, they took her right back and saw a real doctor who said that the cut had clotted too much and she did not need another stitch. I'm glad she didn't have to be traumatized again, however, that probably means a much bigger scar on her pretty little face. Here's hoping for less drama tomorrow!
By the way, Katelyn is doing amazingly well. Except from looking at her face, you wouldn't even know she'd been hurt. She even asked to go back to her friends house and play right after getting her stitches put in:) She's a trooper!

Road Trip!
Last weekend we had the fortunate opportunity to visit family in Dallas. Unfortunately, we rushed to get there to attend the BYU vs. TCU football game. Aside from that embarrassing event, we had fun swimming, shopping, eating DELICIOUS food, going to the movies, going to the Pumpkin Patch, and just hanging out with family. We loved staying at Dave & Gillian's new house. They were very accommodating, especially when we unexpectedly stayed an extra night. We get to spend Thanksgiving in Dallas and are very excited. Thanks you guys!

9 Glorious Years!
Nine years ago today I met my husband. I had only been living in Utah for 2 months when we met. I was 18, he was 22. He saw me at church and wanted to meet me, so he made nice with my roommates who always invited cute boys over to our house (Thanks Meggie & Deb!) One night after his hockey game, he came over to find us in the middle of a Mary Kay party our friend talked us into hosting. He immediately caught my attention because he was SO funny and very good-looking, even if he fooled me into thinking his name was "Benjamin Dallas Sebastian Ashton." (There were many more where that came from.) Oh, how gullible I was. Even though I may have denied it at the time, I was smitten. We literally were inseparable from that night on. I never thought in a million years we would still be together 9 years later with 2 beautiful kids, in Texas nonetheless. What a long, strange trip it's been! Here are pictures from the night we met. (Oh how I wish I could still fit in those pants)

He keeps getting better with age. Ben thought it was funny to take a complete strangers camera (mine) and use up the whole roll taking weird pictures of himself. And the gorgeous man next to me is my manly cousin Jeremy who is not afraid of a little pampering:) Love you Jeremy!

HE DID IT!
Not only did Samuel turn 6 months old today, but about 30 minutes ago he started CRAWLING. We got home from the park and I put him down, and he just took off. It was only two weeks ago that he even started doing push ups in an attempt to crawl. He's already been getting into things just from scooting around, so I'm scared for what will happen as he perfects this. I am very proud of him, but I don't think I am ready for what is to come. If he's anything like his cousin Zach, then I better hide the cell phones and baby-proof the toilets:)
In other news, Samuel also has his first teeth coming in and he's not happy about it. I am having so much fun with him, but Katelyn was such an easier baby. Too bad she couldn't stay that way. Also, Ben got his cast off last week but he still can't put any weight on his foot. Which means I still currently have 3 kids to take care of, and last night I was on the verge of a complete meltdown. And to top it off, Ben is trying to convince me to get a puppy. Thank goodness I get to spend 2 glorious hours to myself tomorrow getting my hair done.
Unfortunately the video of him crawling doesn't want to work. I know you are all disappointed.
Time flies. I can't believe he's already a half a year old.
