Samuel's 2 Months Old!

Samuel turned 2 months old yesterday and is beginning to smile and giggle alot. At his check-up he weighed in at 13 lbs, 5 oz. He is in the 85 percentile for weight and height. Big Boy!

Hot, Hot, Hot!

We have been having a major heat wave here in West Texas. Today the high was 106 degrees, only two degrees away from the record. Last week, Ben made Katelyn this makeshift pool out of a storage bin to try and beat the heat. Then the other day he got smart and decided to go buy an inflatable pool, since Katelyn LOVES to play in the water so much. Although it's hard to tell from the pictures who likes the new pool more!

Like Father, Like Son

Happy Birthday to Ben!

Ben turned 31 yesterday. We celebrated by going to IHOP for breakfast and to the mall to buy him a new pair of tennis shoes. Then his brother Dave gave him what he would consider to be a perfect day by taking him to dinner, to the driving range, and then to a movie. Since we already had a half-eaten cake left over from the weekend, I baked one of his favorites(Snickerdoodles) instead. He got some movie passes, Dallas Cowboys paraphernalia, and new boardshorts. It was a good day!

What a Week!

Last week was very eventful for us. Katelyn finally stopped throwing up. My wonderful sister-in-law Gillian and some friends threw me a surprise baby shower. It was the perfect shower, no games, lunch with the ladies, and great gifts. Thank you guys!

Makes Me Want to Cry!

Katelyn spent Friday and Saturday night in the E.R. She caught a bad stomach bug that caused her to throw up so much she lost 3 pounds in less than 24 hours and had to be given 3 times the amount of I.V. fluids someone her size usually needs. She's unfortunately not over it yet, but is doing so much better than 2 days ago.

4 Weeks Later!

One month later and Katelyn will not leave her baby brother alone. It's sweet but a bit annoying. She can be a big help however, fetching diapers, helping him hold his binki in his mouth, or consoling him when he cries. Now if we can only get her out of diapers, everything would be peachy.
